California School Employees Association

The California School Employees Association is a labor union based in San Jose, California. As the largest classified school employees union in the United States, CSEA represents over 250,000 school support staff members throughout the state. The union employs 255 individuals and generates an annual revenue of $71 million. CSEA members work in a variety of crucial roles within California's public schools and community colleges. Their contributions encompass security, food services, office and clerical work, school maintenance and operations, transportation, academic assistance, paraeducator services, library and media assistance, and computer services. CSEA was founded in 1927 by a group of Oakland custodians who sought to secure rights and benefits for themselves and fellow school employees.
