Cal Space Technologies and Rocketry

Cal Space Technologies and Rocketry is a student-run organization based in Berkeley, California. With 13 employees, the group focuses on developing innovative technologies for high-power rocketry and space-related vehicles. The organization's projects span a range of areas, including propulsion research, avionics and software development, and the design, construction, testing, and flight of high-power rockets. Their activities take place at spaceports throughout the Central Valley and the Mojave Desert. In addition to their technical endeavors, Cal Space Technologies and Rocketry is committed to community outreach, hosting events to engage children and adults in STEM fields. A key goal for the group is to participate in the ESRA’s Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition, where they design, test, and build a rocket capable of reaching an altitude of 10,000 feet. Ultimately, Cal Space Technologies and Rocketry aspires to launch its own student-designed and built rocket into space.
