BTL Legacy Foundation

Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation (BTLLF) is a non-profit organization based in Kansas City, Missouri. Established in 2003, BTLLF emerged from the merger of the Baptist Medical Center Foundation and Trinity Lutheran Hospital Foundation following the sale of the Health Midwest system. With a team of 5 to 9 employees, the foundation manages a portfolio of endowments and donor-restricted funds, channeling resources towards various initiatives that support health education and access to care in the greater Kansas City area. BTLLF administers several programs and scholarships aimed at fostering healthcare education and supporting underserved communities. These include the Trinity Lutheran School of Nursing Alumnae Scholarship, the L.A. Hollinger M.D. Scholarship, and the W. Jack Stelmach Fund, which provides ongoing education for family practice residents. Additionally, the foundation established Kansas City's Medicine Cabinet in 2005, offering short-term medical assistance to low-income residents of the Kansas City area.
