Bridges to Adelphi Program

Bridges to Adelphi Program is a fee-based program located in Garden City, New York. The program employs 20 people and generates an annual revenue of $20 million. Bridges to Adelphi Program provides academic, social, and vocational support services to college students with autism spectrum disorder, nonverbal learning disabilities, executive functioning challenges, or socialization difficulties. Students receive individualized plans tailored to their needs, addressing challenges common to college students such as procrastination, anxiety, time management, organization, problem-solving, and social skills. Academic coaching and learning strategy sessions are offered twice weekly, helping students develop coping mechanisms and strategies for success. Vocational support services include career exploration, resume writing assistance, interview skills training, and connections to on-campus and off-campus job and internship opportunities. Additionally, Bridges to Adelphi pairs students with peer mentors, undergraduate volunteers who serve as role models, introduce students to campus activities, and foster a sense of belonging within the Adelphi community.
