BRASA USC

BRASA USC is a local chapter of the global BRASA organization, based in Los Angeles, California. This small organization, with three employees, focuses on connecting Brazilian undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students at the University of Southern California. BRASA USC organizes a variety of events for its members, catering to diverse interests. These events fall into several categories: social gatherings like Carnaval parties, Festa Junina celebrations, freshmen receptions, and end-of-semester barbeques; educational opportunities such as free Portuguese lessons designed to introduce students to Brazilian culture and language; cultural experiences, including conversations with prominent Brazilian figures like director José Padilha; and professional development initiatives like BRASA Leads and BRASCON conferences, workshops, and resources to prepare members for job interviews and summer internships.
