Blue Ridge Wildlife Center

The Blue Ridge Wildlife Center is a non-profit organization located in Boyce, Virginia. The facility is staffed by three employees and operates 24/7, 365 days a year. The center focuses on providing comprehensive rehabilitative and veterinary care to native wildlife. The Blue Ridge Wildlife Center takes in over 2,000 patients annually from Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. Their services aim to stabilize and treat injured or orphaned animals with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats. In addition to treatment, the center also operates a hotline to assist the public in addressing and minimizing human-wildlife conflicts. Beyond providing direct care, the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center is dedicated to educating the public about wildlife. They offer educational programs at schools, community events, and at their own facility. These programs feature approximately 20 non-releasable ambassador animals and biofacts, providing hands-on learning experiences.
