Biomedical Sciences Department

The Biomedical Sciences Department is a department located in Springfield, Missouri. It is a part of Missouri State University and employs 19 people. The department offers a range of programs in the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, genomics, biotechnology, physiology, anatomy, nutrition, exercise science, and neuroscience. They provide both undergraduate and graduate level programs, including Allied Health programs such as dietetics, clinical laboratory science/medical technology, nurse anesthesia, radiography, nursing, gerontology, athletic training, psychology, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies. The Biomedical Sciences Department is dedicated to providing an interactive scientific environment for both faculty and students. They aim to prepare students for careers in biotechnology related to human health and disease, incorporating evidence- and inquiry-based experiences into each student's program.
