Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra

Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO) is a non-profit organization based in Bellevue, Washington. Established in 1964, BYSO has grown to serve over 29 employees and provides a positive and stimulating musical environment for Eastside youth. BYSO offers six large orchestras and three smaller instrumental ensembles for students aged six to 19. The organization aims to enhance the lives of student musicians through dynamic musical experiences, fostering collaboration, confidence, and personal responsibility while pursuing artistic excellence. BYSO's approach complements and builds upon both school music programs and private instruction, providing a full orchestra experience while also addressing the individual needs of each student.
