Who is Beat Auburn Beat Hunger
Beat Auburn Beat Hunger is a non-profit organization based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The food drive competition, now in its 24th year, is focused on collecting donations for food banks in Alabama. The organization collects food donations from the University of Alabama community for the West Alabama Food Bank. A sister organization, Beat Bama Beat Hunger, collects donations for the East Alabama Food Bank. Throughout the six and a half week long drive, smaller food drives are held in addition to booster nights at local restaurants and other events. Beat Auburn Beat Hunger is committed to combating food insecurity in the region. Their goal for the current drive is to collect 175,000 pounds of food leading up to the Iron Bowl.
