BAYOU COUNTRY CHILDRENS MUSEUM

The Bayou Country Children’s Museum is a non-profit organization located in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The museum is small, employing 5 to 9 people, and serves a wide geographic area, spanning eight parishes in Southern Louisiana. Established in 1998 and officially opening its doors in 2013, the museum provides a unique and engaging learning experience for children aged 2 to 12. The Bayou Country Children’s Museum offers a hands-on approach to learning, featuring exhibits designed to spark curiosity and encourage exploration. The museum’s aim is to enhance classroom learning by providing interactive experiences that align with established Grade Level Expectations. In addition to its main exhibits, the museum boasts a gift shop called the “Bayou Boutique,” offering a variety of educational toys, souvenirs, and unique gifts inspired by the museum's themes.
