AU Students for Change

AU Students for Change is a non-partisan, student-run organization based in the United States. With a team of three employees, the organization focuses on supporting marginalized students, faculty, and staff at American University. The Students for Change Initiative (SFC) provides guidance and coordination to campus departments and committees on programming and policy matters that impact these groups. They create and deliver educational programming addressing a variety of issues through the lens of gender and sexuality. SFC programs are grounded in principles of anti-violence, anti-racism, environmental & climate justice, queer & trans inclusion, and wellness. SFC distinguishes itself through its collaborative approach, working with other student organizations, academic departments, student services, and off-campus organizations to advance its mission.
