ASTEROIDS Laboratory

ASTEROIDS Laboratory is a research laboratory based in Tucson, Arizona, comprised of researchers from the University of Arizona, the University of Puerto Rico, and Pima Community College. With five employees, the laboratory is dedicated to advancing knowledge in asteroid exploration through fundamental science and technology research. The laboratory focuses on hands-on project-based learning for undergraduate students, providing them with opportunities to design, build, and validate experiments and instruments for small spacecraft missions. This work is supported by NASA's Undergraduate Research and Education Program (UREP), which aims to prepare students for careers in the aerospace sector. Potential research areas align with NASA's objectives, encompassing a wide range of disciplines within asteroid science and technology.
