ARTS VISALIA

ARTS VISALIA is a three-employee, non-profit community art center situated in downtown Visalia, California. The organization generates $2.5 million annually and is dedicated to serving the visual arts community. ARTS VISALIA features a gallery showcasing diverse monthly exhibitions from artists recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally. The center offers a unique selection of items crafted by local artisans in its gift shop. ARTS VISALIA is open to the public free of charge Wednesdays through Saturdays, from Noon to 5:30 p.m. Throughout the year, a variety of events are hosted, including First Friday meet-the-artist receptions, lectures, workshops, open studio sessions, Family Art Days and other special events. ARTS VISALIA offers educational programs consisting of classes for both children and adults. Fall and Spring sessions provide new two- and four-week courses each month. Young at Art is a summer art program featuring new week-long courses starting each week in June and July. The program culminates in an exhibition of student artwork during August. Through support from private and public donors, scholarship programs are available to provide opportunities for numerous youth each year.
