Arrowhead Regional Development Commission

The Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC) is a regional development commission based in Duluth, Minnesota. Established by the State of Minnesota, ARDC is one of nine such commissions throughout the state and has been serving the needs of the Arrowhead region for over 45 years. The commission employs 10 individuals and generates annual revenue exceeding $10,000. ARDC offers a variety of services designed to support the economic and social well-being of the Arrowhead region, which encompasses Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis Counties. These services include professional planning, direct support, and technical assistance across a range of areas. Additionally, ARDC collaborates with partners to provide transportation planning services to Douglas County, Wisconsin. The commission's operations are divided into three distinct divisions: Regional Planning, the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging, and the Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Interstate Council.
