Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks

Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks is a non-profit organization based in Tempe, Arizona. Established in 1983, the organization provides summer camp experiences for children with cancer and their siblings. The camp offers a variety of activities designed to create a "normal" summer camp experience while catering to the specific needs of its campers. Traditional camp activities include archery, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, arts & crafts, and singing around a campfire. Unique offerings include rappelling, dance, drama, magic, scrapbooking, and cooking. The camp also hosts special events like dances, carnivals, and Jello Wars. Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks is staffed by a volunteer team of over 100 adults, with medical staff on call 24 hours a day. The organization's facilities include seven sleeper cabins, a fully equipped dining hall and kitchen, and a medical center. The Sidekicks program, started in 1988, provides a dedicated program for the siblings of cancer patients.
