Ape Cognition and Conservation Initiative

The Ape Cognition and Conservation Initiative (ACCI) is a 501C3 non-profit organization established in 2013. Headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, ACCI is a small organization with three employees. It generates $2.5 million in annual revenue. ACCI is dedicated to studying language and cognition in bonobos, critically endangered great apes closely related to humans.
