Anshe Sfard Kehillat Torah

Anshe Sfard Kehillat Torah (ASKT) is an Orthodox synagogue based in Glendale, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. Founded in 1986 by a small group of 17 families, ASKT has grown into a thriving community of around 100 families, many of whom observe Shabbat. ASKT provides a range of religious services and programming, including daily morning prayers (Shacharit), evening prayers (Mincha/Maariv), and classes for both men and women. The synagogue also hosts regular scholar-in-residence programs, social activities, and learning programs, such as a monthly Tehillim group for women. A defining feature of ASKT is its strong sense of community. Members actively participate in services, leading prayers and reading from the Torah. The synagogue fosters a culture of support, with members readily helping each other with everyday needs and offering prayers for health and well-being. As a Zionistic shul, ASKT incorporates prayers for the Israeli Defense Forces and the State of Israel into its services.
