Animal Welfare Association (AWA) is a private, non-profit organization headquartered in Voorhees Township, New Jersey. Established in 1948, AWA is a no-kill shelter that relies entirely on donations to fund its operations. With a staff of 97 employees, the organization manages a budget of $50 million. AWA is dedicated to providing a safe haven for unwanted pets, offering adoption services for dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, rabbits, and small animals. Prior to adoption, all animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites, micro-chipped, and come with one month of free pet health insurance (excluding rabbits and small animals).
