American Portable Diagnostics Association

The American Portable Diagnostics Association (APDA) is a national, non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. It is a small organization with four employees. The APDA is dedicated to representing member providers who specialize in portable diagnostic services. The APDA's member providers offer a wide range of diagnostic services, including portable x-ray, vascular ultrasound, ankle-brachial index testing, abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, EKGs, blood tests, bone densitometry, pulmonary function testing, and telemedicine. These services are brought directly to patients at their bedside in long-term care facilities and private residences. The APDA's focus is on serving vulnerable patient populations, such as the frail, elderly, and disabled. A key aspect of the APDA's mission is advocating for its members before Congress and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Administration (CMS).
