American Podiatric Medical Students Association

The American Podiatric Medical Students Association (APMSA) is a non-profit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota. With a staff of one employee, APMSA serves as the national voice for 2,500 students enrolled in the nine colleges of podiatric medicine across the United States. APMSA's mission is to represent the interests of podiatric medical students, address their concerns, and advocate for the profession. They facilitate communication and collaboration between students, faculty, and professionals within the podiatric medical community. The organization also works to connect with students and professionals from other healthcare disciplines, such as allopathic and osteopathic medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, and nursing, to promote a holistic approach to healthcare. APMSA achieves its goals through a structured governance system represented by a House of Delegates, comprised of student leaders from each podiatric medical college. These delegates, along with the third- and fourth-year student delegates who form the APMSA Board of Trustees, meet twice annually to discuss and address student issues, formulate policy, and represent the student body to the broader podiatric medical community.
