American Latvian Assn

The American Latvian Association (ALA) is a tax-exempt, 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. ALA is comprised of 100 member organizations, churches, clubs, and approximately 4,000 individual members, representing over 90,000 Latvian Americans across the United States. ALA supports cultural activities and fosters cooperation within the Latvian American community. Their mission includes promoting the study of Latvian language, history, and culture, ensuring access to Latvian schools, books, and teaching materials for children, and assisting newly arrived Latvian immigrants with information about the United States.
