American Dental Assistants Association

The American Dental Assistants Association is a non-profit organization based in Washington, District of Columbia. With 29 employees, the ADAA is the oldest and largest group representing professional dental assistants in the United States. The ADAA serves a wide range of dental assistants, including those who work directly with dentists chairside, as well as those in administrative roles such as receptionists, office managers, and practice managers. The organization also includes dental assistants who work in product sales, insurance, and education. The ADAA provides continuing education opportunities for its members through home study courses, professional journals, and local, state, and national meetings. It actively encourages education, registration, and certification for dental assisting professionals. In addition to educational resources, the ADAA offers various member services such as insurance programs, salary and other surveys, and travel and leisure services.
