American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative

The American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., with a staff of 293 employees. The organization has a focus on strengthening legal institutions and advancing public understanding of the law and citizen rights around the world. ABA ROLI collaborates with various stakeholders, including government agencies, judiciaries, lawyers, bar associations, parliaments, and civil society, to design legal reform programs tailored to specific local needs. Their expertise spans across numerous countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Eurasia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East and North Africa. Since its establishment in 2007, ABA ROLI has built a network of over 400 professional staff, both within the United States and internationally.
