American Association of Colleges of Nursing

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is a national organization based in Washington, District of Columbia. AACN is comprised of 196 employees. AACN works to establish quality standards for nursing education, assists schools in implementing those standards, influences the nursing profession to improve healthcare, and promotes public support for professional nursing education, research, and practice. The organization represents 825 member schools of nursing at public and private universities and senior colleges across the United States. These schools offer a variety of nursing programs, including baccalaureate, graduate, and post-graduate options.
