Almost Home Kids

Almost Home Kids™ (AHK) is a nonprofit organization based in Naperville, Illinois. Founded in 1999, AHK employs 68 people and generates an annual revenue of $6.3 million. AHK provides a community-based care system for children with medical complexities, acting as a bridge between hospital and home. Their services include responding to family needs, caregiver training, respite care, advocacy for accessibility and inclusion, and education for healthcare professionals. AHK helps children who require short-term care avoid more expensive facilities, saving an estimated $10 million per year in Medicaid expenses for each site.
