Alameda County Fire Department

The Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) is a dependent special district located in Dublin, California. As a public agency, it has over 400 employees and generates around $100 million in annual revenue. The ACFD provides a wide array of emergency services to a diverse population of approximately 394,000 residents across a geographical area of roughly 508 square miles. Their services include fire suppression, hazardous materials response, urban search and rescue, and water rescue, along with advanced life support and community outreach programs. In addition, ACFD handles disaster preparedness, fire prevention, code compliance, and regional dispatch functions. Established in 1993, ACFD's coverage area expanded through several consolidations, incorporating previously independent fire departments and agencies, including the Alameda County Regional Emergency Communications Center.
