Recognizing the lack of economically viable internet infrastructure in these areas, AirJaldi utilizes a wireless mesh network model to deliver internet connectivity to underserved populations. AirJaldiOrg's initial project, the Dharamsala Community Wireless-Mesh Network, was established in 2005 in partnership with the Tibetan Technology Center.
