AIDS Project of Central Iowa

The AIDS Project of Central Iowa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Des Moines, Iowa. The agency was founded in 1991 and has since grown to be the largest HIV/AIDS service and prevention agency in the state. With a team of 7 employees, the organization serves hundreds of individuals living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, as well as providing prevention services to thousands of Iowans at risk of contracting the disease. The AIDS Project of Central Iowa offers a range of direct care services tailored to the individual needs of people living with HIV/AIDS. These services encompass a variety of areas, including medical care, counseling, support groups, and housing assistance. In addition to direct care, the agency also provides prevention services to the community, educating individuals about HIV/AIDS, promoting safe sex practices, and offering testing and counseling.
