African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative

African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) is a cooperative located in New York, New York. It is a small organization with 5 employees. AWEC offers a 12-month leadership and management training program designed specifically for women entrepreneurs from Africa and the diaspora. The program aims to equip participants with the skills and network necessary to establish and grow successful businesses. Lessons focus on practical applications, benefiting both established business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. AWEC's unique approach combines live learning sessions, individual and team assignments, mentoring from experienced professionals, peer networking, and feedback. Participants also attend bi-annual in-person Leadership Summits. Highly engaged cohort members receive a Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the program.
