African Leadership Foundation

African Leadership Foundation (ALF) is a US-based non-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco, California. With a team of 8 employees, ALF focuses on developing young leaders and entrepreneurs for the African continent. The foundation supports the growth of the African Leadership Academy (ALA), a pan-African institution dedicated to transforming Africa by nurturing the next generation of leaders. ALA has cultivated a network of over 500 young leaders from 48 African countries, selected from a pool of over 15,000 applicants. These leaders have established non-profit organizations to address social issues, developed innovative solutions to local challenges, and engaged in cutting-edge research, entrepreneurship, and global discourse. The ALA network boasts graduates who have been accepted into prestigious universities worldwide, including Duke, Harvard, London School of Economics, Stanford, University of Cape Town, and Yale. These graduates have collectively received over US $40 million in scholarship support, demonstrating the transformative impact of ALF's work.
