AFRICAN FAMILY HOLISTIC HEALTH ORGANIZATION is a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon. Founded by a couple of community health workers, the organization currently employs five individuals. Having identified social isolation, lack of self-empowerment, and unhealthy lifestyles as prevalent issues within the African community in Southeast Portland, AFRICNAF FAMILY HOLISTIC HEALTH ORGANIZATION aims to address these concerns. They focus on providing support to African families, particularly Swahili speaking families, through community organizing and direct service work. The organization's mission is to empower African families by promoting healthy lifestyles and strengthening family dynamics.
