Advanced Modeling Aeronautics Team (AMAT) is a student-run organization based in Davis, California. Comprised of five employees, AMAT is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of aerospace engineering through hands-on experience. AMAT specializes in the design, construction, and flight testing of large, remote-controlled aircraft. They utilize a range of materials including balsa wood, carbon fiber, and foam to create innovative and efficient designs. Their primary focus is on competing in prestigious competitions such as the SAE Aero Design Advanced Class and the AIAA Design Build Fly competitions.
