Actors Equity Association

Actors' Equity Association is a labor union based in New York City, United States. Founded in 1913, it represents over 51,000 professional actors and stage managers across the country. The organization works to advance the careers of its members by negotiating wages, improving working conditions, and providing benefits such as health and pension plans. Actors' Equity Association is a member of the AFL-CIO and affiliated with FIA, an international organization of performing arts unions. The association is governed by its members through an elected Council and regional Boards and Committees. It has 28 designated area liaison cities with over 100 members each.
