177th Fighter Wing

The 177th Fighter Wing is an Air National Guard unit based at Atlantic City International Airport in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Established in 1958, the 177th Fighter Wing is a significant part of the New Jersey National Guard with a staff of 59 employees. The 177th Fighter Wing's primary mission is to provide air superiority in the United States and around the world. They operate the single-seat F-16C Fighting Falcon, a highly capable fighter aircraft. Since 1998, the 177th Fighter Wing has actively participated in several critical operations, including Operation Noble Eagle, Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.
